When I think of fairytale weddings, Josh and Amanda's intimate wedding in the hills of Santa Barbara is exactly what comes to mind. I had the incredible privilege of being the second photographer for the stunning wedding thanks to lead photographer Alex Ekkelenkamp (@alexanderthomasco) on instagram! The beautiful villa was dressed top to bottom in elegance that only would be fitting for the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Smith, BUT FIRST, I got to meet and hang with the groom, Josh, and his groomsmen.

So, as the second photographer, most of the times I get to hang out with the groom and his groomsmen. And to be quite transparent, these were some of the most fun and down to earth guys I had the privilege to meet. So it made my job that much easier just documenting them as they caught up, laughed, and cannon balled into a fun-filled day.

Again, I have to reiterate, this home was STUNNING. The detailing was breathtaking and intentional.

The soft neutral palette set the tone for calmness throughout the property. There's so much beauty in capturing the detail just right.

And wow did the property made the perfect silhouette for the most stunning wedding dress photos. I mean, seriously, this is a beautiful dress.

Truly, there is no better possession in life than a group of people that start as strangers and come around you to establish a community and, in this case, a brotherhood. It was such an honor to just see how much they cared for Josh. Thomas, Tyler, Colton, Allan, and Carl are the definition of the friendships I value for life. Man, I know Josh knows he is blessed.

The ceremony was set in the lower garden area of the Santa Barbara home.

The seats were soon filled with so many friends and loved ones awaiting the coming matrimony.

Josh and Amanda's love can only be described as Jesus' love. The excitement they have for the life they will continue to build together is so indicative of their love for Jesus. Also, can I just say, they are literally two of the most kind-hearted people I've met. They welcomed me in and made me feel so special.

The ceremony was filled with love, laughs, and such tender moments that may have left me a little emotional.

Man, the wedding was one that you could only see in magazines or on movies; I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be a small part of such a big day!

Thank you Josh and Amanda for having me. You two are such a dynamic force for the kingdom and made for one another.

And thank you Alex for trusting me and being such an incredible lead photographer to work with!

I wish nothing but beautiful memories and a lifetime of love to you, Josh and Amanda!
